Tuesday-Pottery, Pizza, Police, Presidential Motorcade

I took Brooke/Brig/&Brynn to As You Wish, a painting pottery spot at Tempe Marketplace. The girls painted plates and Brig did a skateboard up rather nicely. Brynn changes her little people drawings every few days and then as she evolves she loses the original look. I was glad she captured this one here. There was a new pizza slice place open so we ate there, fed the pigeons and headed home...only the roads were blocked by police, no freeway entry, no crossing Dobson from way downtown to the 202 freeway on the north side. We stopped to ask a police man what was going on and he said the President would be driving down the street within 15 minutes. This policeman gave the kids stickers, took photos with them and was talking with others on his walkie-talkie saying things like, "The President is getting in his vehicle and heading north from Main." etc. Pretty soon we saw four motorcycles, the lead guys, making sure everything was clear and then 20 or so more, and then black Tahoes and escalades and the two black limousines. After that there were more police cars, white escalades, white vans, a black surburban with the machine gun bubble on top and a couple ambulances. I wish I had had my real camera. Not something you see everyday and I'm glad I had a few of the kids to see it too. This is Sophie's ice cream face from last night.

I think the President is following me. He was in Israel while I was, I left Phoenix last week and there he is, and he's coming here tomorrow.

So cool to have the kids see all the excitement about the President!

We will have to do a "Color me mine" day when you get here. Brynn would love it!
