Way to go Todd!

Our family went to CA. this weekend to watch Todd compete in the half-ironman This is his second time in this competition. My parents, sister and brother in law, and some neighbors from UT went too. We arrived Friday night and went to dinner at old spaghetti factory for a carbo-load dinner. I got up early Saturday (4:30 am) to take Todd & Don (our neighbor in UT), to the race. It was fascinating to watch the athletes of all shapes and sizes, some without arms, some without legs and other disabilities in this race along with the super-fit pros and other athletes. There were over 30 waves of athletes competing. 1.2 mile swim in the ocean harbor, 56 mile bike ride including steep hills, and a half marathon run.

Whoa! Way to go, Todd! Jake wants to be doing stuff like that. I'll probably be waking up at 4:30 to take him to these things some day, too!

I'm really surprised you were able to take those photos. I was moving so fast. You must have a camera with lightening shutter speed. Most camera's would've captured only a blurrrrrrrrr.
