I broke down and bought the little girls a bubble machine today. After 2 bottles of bubbles and 6 duracell batteries I still consider it a good value for $10. Claps, squeals, giggling, smiles, sisters getting along, hands free entertainment, feeling like a good mom, priceless.
I also started back up on my menu for the week and we had some tasty pork chops with a good sauce topped with olives, Martha Stewart potato salad (not the mayo kind), and made-from-scratch-not-a-box-can-you-believe-it? lemon bars. I remembered that I do love to cook and was reminded that I'm losing my great kitchen shortly so I better use it! The pork chop recipe was part of a double duty meal from Robin Miller's quick fix show. Link was on a post a few days ago. More meals for this week: Salmon, teriyaki kabobs, quesidillas, cream cheese brownies, chicken curry/rice, mini tacos.
I have all the Mother's Day presents finished as well. Happy middle of the week day!
