Well, I think we made it through the busiest time of the season for our family. Brynn had a little program today--she was an angel in the nativity. Then the class sang a few songs. Yesterday she had been singing Jingle Bells at the top of her lungs in Costco like a broken record but for some reason, today, she just rang the bell and shyly smiled--rare for a child who is not shy. Then when Santa entered the room, she had a look of fear and leaned up against her teacher for a hug. She was brave enough to sit on his lap and tell him she wants an American doll baby and a kitchen. I thought, that a girl. Flash forward 20 years and you'll want the same thing. Right Liz?
Brigham, Brooklyn and Chase did great in their concert. The order of the classes singing was such that they were in the first three groups so we were able to sneak out the side doors and save an hour out of our busy day. I'll remember that for next year and just come mid-way through the program. We did have to be there 30 minutes early to get a 2nd row seat. We were so early that Brynn didn't get any breakfast. There were some kids eating in the cafeteria so we jumped in line. Man, for 85 cents you get a great breakfast! Cereal, milk, juice, applesauce, a piece of fruit and sausage/pancake on a stick.
Sophie is learning to pull herself up on the side of the port-a-crib and she is clapping. She is so proud of herself! She loves water bottles and cheerios and dried mangoes.
Chase went sledding with the scouts. He said it was great fun. He stood in the entryway and laughed at his hair for 5 minutes before taking off his cold, wet clothes. Ally is out Christmas caroling and should be turning into a popsicle by now.
Go BYU!
