I Love Mondays

I really do. I love to plan menus, calendar, do the banking, get back into the laundry, get the kids back in school, and on a schedule. It's a little like the pool breaks at the public pool every hour when I was little. Towards the end of the 10 minutes, all the kids line up on the edge awaiting the lifeguard's last step towards the seat on the top of the tower--and then the whistle would blow. Off we'd go into the pool for then next 50 minutes. Yes the 10 minute (weekend) breaks are necessary but it's nice to be moving.

Todd's out on his bike. He has a triathlon on Saturday in Ogden. Then to Lowes, lunch (maybe that's why I like Monday Ü), and more planting. Me, I'm making peace with the house in between Dora and reading books, going for a walk with the stroller and dressing up the girls.

More thoughts...Where were you on 9/11? I had just put my little ones (Ally and Chase) on the bus when I turned on the Today show. I saw the firey building that had just been struck. I called a friend and then called Todd on the way to drop off the little ones at pre-school. He was in Seattle, supposed to fly home that day. All flights were grounded. The buildings were collapsing as I listened on the news. I called my parents. They were upset. The rest of the day we watched tv and prayed that Todd would find a way home safely and soon.

God bless America.

Have a good week. JT
