Hail storm and other loud noises & the usps

We had a wicked storm roll through last night. Thunder, lightning, hail, wind. We could hear it beat at the windows as it came and then move over the house. The hail was beating right down directly on the roof with no beating on the windows and then it moved on by. The grooves in the neighborhood roofs have a white trails where hail still sits. We're supposed to get 8-10 inches on the mountain benches today.

The other loud noises: We heard a huge bang-I sat straight up in bed and yelled "Todd!". We don't have many things up on the walls in our house but the one thing in our master bedroom fell off the wall and hit a wooden chair. So we finally get back to sleep and we hear another "bang!". We (Todd) looked around and didn't see anything (remember we don't have too much on our walls.) In the morning we found a valance from the kitchen blinds on the floor by the table. I'm glad he wasn't traveling this week. If those would have fallen while he was away I would've not been able to go back to sleep wondering what kind of creep was in my house.

One other thing that impressed me this week is the USPS. I had to ship 10 packages yesterday..(find boxes, create my own packages for odd sizes, create packing slips, print labels etc.) And the internet was going to be out as soon as the repair guy came and I had to get the girls ready before a dr. appointment at 10:30. So I was in a hurry. I printed off the last label just as the repair guy knocked at the door. So I shipped the package (had them picked up from my house--love that) and later on found out that I put the wrong size in one of the packages. I went to the post office with the right size item and the delivery man had not arrived back at the Post Office with mine yet. The worker, SANDRA, took the item, pulled the package when it got there, switched the items, repackaged the item and is sending out the wrong one with the delivery man back to me today. Who does that anymore? Especially at the USPS. So thanks, Sandra. Gold star for you. And the lady on the other end will be happy that her 12 month old daughter will not be in a 4 T Indian Princess costume for sure. Happy Friday to you all. JT
