Thursday-day 17

Another one of those drive down the canyon in the morning and don't get back until dark kind of days. With current gas prices, it costs us about $25-30 to go down and back, so we have to make the most of it while we are down . We dropped Ally off at Youth Conference and headed straight to the eye dr. Brooklyn, Briggs, Brynn and Sophie were all checked today. Brynn was a little scared and wanted me right by her. When the dr. asked if she knew her letters, she broke out in the ABC song--sang the whole thing. He puts up the letter chart and she says, Mom, I forgot what that one is called, so he promptly put up the picture chart. Sophie did well too, calling the hand picture "glove" and the bird picture, "kitchen, chicken" every time. She also called the cake with candles, "the pancake".Photobucket

After the dr., we met Nana for lunch. We sat in a 1/2 booth, the little girls by Nana. They haven't had a trampoline in a year, so they were satisfying the need to bounce on the booth. Let's just say, good thing Nana wasn't eating soup! The next stop was the DT fields where Chase was finishing up his tournament game-we got to see the very end where his team lost in overtime. Shoot! He grabbed his bags and we headed for Nana and Papa's house where the little ones played {thanks! they had a great time watching movies, playing mario, blowing bubbles, coloring, eating, jumping and playing with the cat!}while I picked up Todd from the airport. He and I headed for the JSB to dine in honor of Mark Broadbent, one of his YM from Houston. He's marrying Amy Beesley, from SLC today. Thanks Broadbents! {Nice to chat with Phil & Jen & baby Wade}.
Home around eleven.

It was great spending time with the kids. Each one is amazing. I love interacting with them. I think I have the smartest grandkids ever!
