We went to the zoo this morning.

Here's why...last night, upon arriving home from the senior roast,

I found a swollen lipped son

with a permanent tooth that was wiggly. He went skateboarding with a friend and collided with another skater, a big kid skater. It knocked him loopy and shook him up a bit. He slept in a chair in our room and I kept him home today to monitor his head injury. So, finding myself at home with the only three kids that might want to go to the zoo this morning, we looked up the info and loaded up. It was too hot, I forgot my "real" camera , just had the iPhone cam, and there are too many darn hills to push a double stroller up, but they had a good time. Their favorite animals were the monkeys, mountain lion, orangutans, elephants, zebras

and giraffes.

And the turtles, the girls kept calling "tortuga". At the flamingos, we were all saying, "flamingo, flamingo, flamingo" for Sophie to repeat. She tried a few times

and then just yelled, "CHICKEN".
We saw what we wanted to see and left, lunched at Pete's Fish 'n' Chips, picked up my Bernina from the shop and headed home. CHECK.
When I was dressing Sophie, she said "leg hurts". I was putting on her shoes then I placed her down on her feet and she says, "that
really hurts, Charlie, " with an English accent. Brig and Brynn and I busted up laughing. Sophie just stood there and grinned.

Jane! You should've called! I could've gotten you in for free! I will have to take the girls sometime when I'm there. See you in the morning!
You're a fun mommy. I hope Brigs is doing better, and what is wrong with Sophie? She is going to be a funny girl since she hangs with Brynn all day!
Sounds Fabulous!! You got your workout in too with those Hills!!
Your Animals at that Zoo look alot Healthier than ours here at the HOGLE!
I hope Brigs is ok! The zoo does sound fun. .. Thanks again for the darling apron, I love it! I wore it yesterday for Mother's Day. Everyone is totally amazed that you made it. It is great! Thanks for the phone call too and Todd's poem. Maybe he will be published someday. It was a good mother's day, but missed the
Todd Taylor family!
LOVE the English accent. How is Tommy supposed to compete with Charlie and Lola quotes?
