It rained today!

I saw it! I felt it! Then it was over, just like that. I also found a new neighborhood of cute little houses when I couldn't make a left turn where I needed to...when all my kids are grown and gone and the grandkids are old too, I want to live in a nice little house on a quiet street with lots of big trees making arches over the street leading to my driveway. That or a flat in Londonor NYC near the theaters, restaurants and parks. Or the countryside in Germany where I can ride a bike to the market and put juicy produce in my bike basket on overcast summer days. Or a beach house in Greece where I can sleep with the windows open and feel and taste the salty air as it gently billows my sheer white curtains.

Anyhow, one house in particular around Cedar and Oak and Williams Streets had 5 Adirondack chairs, in different solid colors across the porch-here's a not-so-good pic taken while driving. I eventually made it to my destination. And home again in time to get Brig to skateboarding. On this shot he went down the ramp by where the class is (behind him), and launching up a ramp into the air, onto this platform and back down and into a foam pit. This is the waterfall...I hadn't been to watch his class in a while and he's really improved, he goes down the "waterfall" drop now, which has his board at complete vertical at one point. He rides straight down a wall, up over a pit, and down the other side. We came home from that, ate dinner and went to Chase's basketball tournament game. It turned out to be too late of a night for Sophie, she cried all second half, laying on the court screaming "Daaaaaadddy!" at one point, while he was coaching.

All in all, a good, long, normal day. Normal is good, I'll take it.

Tomorrow: YW/YM combined activity at our house...swimming/games/pizza
