Would you believe

that Saturday I watched my husband chase a calf while my son grabbed a ribbon off its tail and dove for the finish? My daughter chase a chicken, my two sons and oldest daughter chase a greased money pig and my baby pet goats and bunnies? Yes, folks, they participated in the LEHI DAYS RODEO. It was a beautiful day (mid-80s) for this. Ally worked in the concession stand in the morning. We ate BBQ under the shade of a tree, ate cotton candy and bomb pops and had water bottle wars trying to keep cool while waiting in the dusty rodeo ground stands. It was a well-attended stake sponsored event--fun for the whole family.

After the rodeo, I got a quick 2 mile run in and then we met the landscape architect at our lot. We hurried home to meet our neighbors for a dinner at Charlestons. We met my brother Jake and his wife for dessert at our favorite Nielsens for vanilla custard with raspberries. Just so happens, our neighbor that we ate dinner with, delivered Jake/Kelly's last baby. Ever go out for dessert with your OB? I haven't. Good food, company and conversation. A nice day.

Wow. I remember doing those ward rodeos. Way to go, kids! Tell Liz she hasn't posted in a while and I'm having a hard time living vicariously through her when she doesn't post :)
