Todd was out of town last night so I made sure all the windows were locked up tight. I stay up extra late so it is easier for me to fall asleep. I had my phone and keys beside my bed (to set off the car alarm in case of intruders, you know). It was nice this morning to get caught up on laundry. At 12:30 it was finally time for Brynn to go to school. I had planned out every stop I needed to make to get back for the kids who have early out EVERY DAY this week. (Don't think it is necessary since they've been out for 14 days). That's another blog post.
So Sophie follows me out to the car, crying and Brynn is behind her decked out in a "can't top this" outfit complete with her pants tucked into her knee high light blue fuzzy pom-pom slippers. I told her to go get some "real" shoes and then followed behind her to grab some last minute item I needed to run errands...diaper bag, snacks, KEYS.
Oh, Ya, this garage door locks when it wants to. BAM. No keys--car or house. Sophie has eaten 5 oranges this morning=runny messy diaper=ouch! No preschool for Brynn, no owner phone numbers to call, Todd is on an airplane with keys and numbers, no open doors, no blankets or jackets, just some water bottles, peppermint ice cream, soda, 8 -72 hour kits, white chocolate dipped oatmeal cookies, frozen, and a stroller. We go through the painful diaper change (bottled water was warm which helped.) Next we walked around to a few neighbors houses to see if they had any spare keys. No dice.
Enter Bro. Jackson. He tried getting in and then called the owner who drove over in her cute yellow mustang with black racing stripes. Thanks Nona! Thanks Bro. Jackson!
Brynn missed school but can make it up. Still need to go grocery shopping. The bus is coming.

Uwph. Sorry you were stuck. I will make some key copies and hide them in the garage and outside somewhere clandestine when I get home.
Bring one over here too... or put it in my purse.. I was right in Snottsdale all day today.. very close to your house!
