Welcome Monday

Todd went on a Mt. Bike ride this am at Red Mountain with my brother Jake. They left at 4:40am (to beat the heat) and just got home. He couldn't find his shoes that clip in the pedals so we're on the hunt for those. I can't find mine either. (They are probably in a box labeled "misc", of which we have many.) Anyhow, he said the trail was "gnarly" which means good. He's got a road biking group he's meeting tomorrow night.
We had my parents and a neighbor friend from Houston over for dinner last night-roast beef sandwiches, watermelon, potato salad, fruit salsa and ice cream sandwiches. The boys went on a sleepover with Grama and Grandpa this time. They have plans for the xrcade and the skate park and swimming. The girls went on Friday night and had a great time.

We have big plans today to hit the post office, register Ally for school, and run some errands.

Oh, my new favorite snack, thanks to the sample guy at costco: Toasted coconut macadamia nuts. We did not have those in UT to my knowledge. We also got some cranberry/ orange cookies that are really good, and some lettuce wraps that taste close to the real thing. It's been fun seeing the different products they have here. (Can you tell I'm a middle aged Mom?)

I hope all my Utah neighbor friends make it home safely. They were spread out from Europe to Montana to Lake Tahoe to Canada to Chicago/Aspen Grove. Hope you had a great time!

Thank heavens for the samples at Costco. I have found many a treasure that way! Isn't it funny how excited we get about "different" stuff???? Whatever...it's cool to us! haha
