Productive or not so much?

Does productivity count if you can't see it???
I mean, I took the girls to the dr. and back, dropped off lunch money, breakfast for Brooke and her antibiotic at school, came home, started laundry, fed the baby, rocked her to sleep, cleared off my bathroom counter, made lunch for 5, changed the baby, did some laundry, entertained the girls, talked on the phone with my mom, sorted the laundry to see that I have 9 loads to do, and I'm presently trying to gear up for the 3 day weekend etc.

But. The cleaning ladies are coming which means none of that stuff matters. I must pick up, straighten, clear a path. Once they open the door, I feel relieved of any pressure, but not in a good way, in a "you lose, you are too slow, try again next week" sort of way. And then I pay them and I sit in a "too tired to do anything so I'm sure glad it's clean slump" in a chair. Then the kids come home from school and I play defense as long as I can.

All of the kids are healthy or on the mend. Todd is not, however. Hopefully he can kick what he's got in a timely fashion. I have been blessed with good health and I'm thankful for that!

Wish I was going to CHA today. Whatever it is. Ha. And, yes, I do feel productive today. Happy about that.

Happy Thursday!

Sophie is 9mo. old today...loves to crawl around the house, squeals when she sees the kids and kicks her feet and flaps her arms. She likes to eat scrambled eggs, toast, cereal, pancakes, pasta. Loves water from a cup. Takes two sometimes three naps a day and goes to bed around 9pm-7am fairly easily. She likes to go on a lion hunt with her dad and hear Monkeys swinging in a tree and jumping on the bed from the girls. She picks up the smallest of things and has very dexterious little pinchers. She is a sucker for music and will quiet down instantly to listen. She weighs 20 lbs and is 28 in. long. She says "hi" and waves and claps and says "yea". She has a sound for Ally and Chase too. Mostly she is just sweet and we love having her in our family. Happy 9 mo, Sophie!

That totally counts. Lots of work, but we signed up for it, right? Glad your kids are feeling better and that you feel good enough to deal with it all! That is a blessing.
