What were we thinking?

I had water on to boil when Heather (my SIL) stopped by. We threw out the idea to go to the mall & dinner since both of our husbands are MIA. We picked up the house a bit, turned off the stove, fed & changed to babies and off we went to Spaghetti Factory with 9 kids. See--what WERE we thinking??? It happened to be "party" night at the Old Spag Factory. We were behind a party of 60-so our waiter said, and across the room from Santa and his elves. 1 1/2 hours later, (took a long time to come to the table, forgot salads, bread, soup, brought kids meals minus one, ran out of macaroni n cheese noodles etc.) we were finally finished. No time to shop (saving money, right?) since the dinner took so long. The food tasted good, the kids ate, I didn't have to cook, set the table or do dishes, so it was all good. Oh, yes, and I got to talk to my friend and compare notes on our lives. Brynn liked her dinner. And she liked Heather's too. Heather turned to tend to Lucy and when she looked back, Brynn was eating Heather's dinner and had her elbow in her plate.

The kids had an art class today and came home with self-portraits. Chase titled his "uncle rico".

Piano/preschool/piano/scouts/yw tomorrow. Fun, fun!

Is everyone enjoying the holiday season? Hope so! I'll try to get some photos on tomorrow.

Have a good day Todd!
