We survived! Five parades, eight parties, 11 different costumes, 90 full-sized candy bars and 4 big bags of fun sized candy later. There is way too much candy in this house for one mom to be left with. Todd will be home to help (eat the candy).
I was left to handing out duties with the baby and Brynn. It was too cold for them (and me). After a while I got out the camcorder and let Brynn do the door answering/handing out of the treats. She would peek out the peep hole (with her little Indian costume/suede boots/feather headdress) and watch for trick-or-treaters. Then she would grab the door handle, jump both feet up on the door and let her weight swing the door open. Next she would say, "Say trick-or-treat". She would proceed to give 2 handfuls to one pillowcase and just one or two to the friend with them. It was trick-or-treat roulette. To some she would say, "do you like suckers? Oh. Do you like chocolate? Oh." If she gave out the full sized bars, the kids would say, "I love you!" and "we're coming back here!" Then she would say, "thank you, happy Halloween!" She did a great job and learned that giving is fun.
Today: piano, preschool, temple, lunch, piano, yw, scouts.
Here's to a sugar powered Wednesday.
