A very fun, event filled Friday...I woke up to a yard full of workers delivering plants, bushes and trees to plant. One of Todd's favorite places is Hilltop Nursery. A friend of his owns the place and can't keep giving him deals he can't refuse. Next we went to Costco to get some snacks for this weekend. My friends took me to Otavio's for lunch. Thanks! It's always nice to go out with the girls and catch up--compare notes on our lives.
I came away with three things (not including the free lunch):
1) I'm the only one who doesn't iron my kids clothes-all of them-before school or look forward to ironing while watching a movie, clothes, sheets and all. Sorry Todd!
2) I'm the only one who lets my kids decorate the house with random piles of candy and wrappers for the first week of November. ( the others let them eat candy for 24 hours and then put all the candy in a community jar, take the candy to the dentist to trade for toys, or sell it to the parents)
3) It's really embarrasing when Chase's friend asks his mother to get your secret recipe for a dish you made when he ate with you and you have to call and tell her it's from a Betty Crocker Box. Ouch! I really am a good cook, I promise! Really!
Todd made reservations to a fancy restaurant but on the way we changed our minds and went to Happy Sumo. We got right in and out, ran a few errands and headed home. There was a bad accident on the way home. We came upon the scene just after it happened. There was smoke coming out of a jeep that was turned on its side and a car in the ditch. I could see a girl up near the windshield. Todd pulled over and we got out to see if we could help. There were three girls in the jeep and two guys and a little boy in the other car. It had crossed the median and hit the jeep. Todd opened up the back of the jeep and a wheel chair fell out (the driver was a 20 something girl who was paralyzed from the waist down and used hand controls to drive). He got all three girls out while I helped them call their parents. They were already hurting so I'm sure they'll be really sore today! When the fire truck and a few EMTs arrived we headed home. Upon arrival, SURPRISE! More people and food than I have ever seen in my house. It was quite a surprise party. I was still a bit shaky from the accident.
Thanks Todd, Ally, Chase, Brooklyn, Brigham and everyone else who was in on the low down. It was fun to see everyone and I appreciated you taking the time & effort to come to the party.
Well, Sophie hasn't quite adjusted to the time change. It's 4:30am. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Photos aren't working so I'll post them soon. JT

Judd was working on a few of the people in the accident when i brought him dinner after the party. They life flighted two of them, and he took care of the little boy and the other girls. He said it was pretty bad. That is cool that you guys were there to help.
That was a FUN party! I hope you had a Great day! it sounds like you did~
Ben and Olivia also heard about the accident. They couldn't get home for quite a while because it was all blocked off. Scary--lucky you could help.
You are a FANTASTIC cook, for the record.
The party was fun. It was good to see so many people who love you and want to make you happy! It was hard to keep my mouth shut in St. George and every time I've talked to you since!
Oh believe me, we'd be right there with ya with the candy if we didn't have Blood Sugars to worry about!!! Way to go!!!
Wish I could have been there! I am glad you had a fun time. I was having a hard time keeping the secret too.
Happy Birthday! It sounds like fun.
