Thursday

Hello Night Owls, or Early Birds or Whoever you are. Another normal day...went with Todd & girls to Riverwoods, taco time for lunch and taco amigo for a snack with Ally tonight. Sometimes I just need to get her out. We had a nice talk over nachos and vanilla coke. She is a sweet girl.

Sophie is such a chunk. I love it! I want to take a bite out of her cheeks and thighs.

Brynn continues to rule the house. She is doing a nice job of it. I took her to the mall last night. She is very observant. To the worker at Dillards, "Is that a tie? My Daddy has a tie. "To the mall walking lady "Are you listening to a song?" To the saleslady in the handbag dept." Do you have a pumpkin?" (on her sweater)To a customer in shoes, "I like your shoes" as she followed her around handing the lady her shoe each time she took it off to try one on. Every time she opened her mouth I was holding my breath. You just never know what's going through her little mind.

Brooke and Brynn tried on about 25 different lotions and potions in Bath & Body Works. The car still smells today. Thanksgiving + Christmas is not the best smell when mixed. Peppermint, caramel, pine tree, pumpkin pie. Yum!

Brigham is still reading and getting much better. It's fun to see him discover new things. Todd helped him go through his clothes and some that Chase hardly wore and he feels like a new little Dude with all the new clothes he found--in his own dresser too!

Chase went to practice tonight. It was cancelled but he didn't get the memo. A few other boys were there too so they played a quick game. He just has a couple of games left. I made some potato/sausage one skillet meal tonight and he asked if I would put it in his "favorites" recipe book that I'm making for each child to take with them to college. Got to remember to write it down.

That's about it! The laundry baskets were empty for a minute today. It's always nice to see the bottom once in a while. Woo Hoo!

Thanks for the recipe. When I make Oreo cookies I hit them on the counter. So I don't think you're weird. Thanks again. You have such cute kids. That favorite recipe book is the best idea! You're so "together"! How do you do it??????
