Brynn, Fall & kidnappers

My good friend and neighbor called early this morning to tell me that her son was running home from school and a man drove by him and asked if he wanted some candy. Then he showed the boy some type of weapon and told him to get in the car. Her son turned around and started running back towards the school and the man sped off. This was just after school at around 3:45pm on a fairly busy street in our small city. Very scary. The whole neighborhood is talking about it now. A good lesson to not get feeling too safe, wherever you live. A good reminder too, to do a bit of role play with the little ones. When I told Brooke and Brigham about this, they said they were coming home from school and the lawn care company men were motioning them to come to them so she and Brigham ran home. This was right out in the front yard. I guess you can never be too careful.

Brynn had her Halloween parade for pre-school today. Then she and I went and had lunch and ran some errands. She is fun to pal around with.

And, here are some pictures of the trees in our neighborhood. It's amazing how quickly they go from green to red to orange to bare. Winter is coming! We even got some snow today.

I found out about some scary people in our old apartment complex too- very scary. Good for Brigham and Brookie on knowing what to do! Brynn looks darling! She is loads of fun and makes the cutest Indian I have ever seen! She is a little tiger lily.
