Lazy Days of Summer

We tell the kids they can play at noon IF their chores are finished. These are not really chores in all. ... Brushing teeth, reading, taking a shower etc. are part of the list. It's like pulling teeth! And the doorbell rings constantly and the phone rings non-stop! What fun! So, Chase is at a birthday party, Ally went to the dollar store with a friend, Brooke and Brynn have friends over and Brigham is across the street. Sophie finally let me put her down in the swing. She must if she wants something to wear!

Working on laundry with a newborn in the house is somebody's way of having a good laugh. While this new little one creates mountains of laundry, so does her two year old sister, in (potty) training who switches out outifts like her 8 year old sister ---6 or 7 times a day. seriously.

Now by the time I get showered it will be dinner time. So, what's for dinner? Peanut m&ms? Chips and Todd's Salsa? Otter pops? Then off to Chase's first football practice. Pads and helmet and all.

I hope I'm behind just cause it is Monday. Heading to the laundry room. Wish. me. luck.

***UPDATE: Just in case you were worried about my state of mind...I just put in the last load of laundry and I made the garlic lime chicken (see below), with rice and beans and diced tomatos from the garden. All is well. Another crazy ordinary day in the life :)

I hope you don't mind, but I "blogged in", so to speak. Holli gave me your web address, and I enjoyed getting caught up on some of the Taylor joy! I created a blog of my own, mostly because it sounded fun, and also because I wanted to be able to share something with you all. Again, I hope you don't mind...
You can find me at "combatsissy.blogspot.com". Would you spread the word for me? I'm a little short on email addresses!
Thanks, Jane!
